About Me

Hello! I'm Abbey Brown.

Last year I graduated from Nashville Software School's six month bootcamp with a certification for Full Stack Web Development. Soon after, I accepted a position as a tech analyst where I immensely loved the job and company. Due to the pandemic, my contract ended, but another door opened with a teaching position for NSS. The growth I experienced by teaching adult learners software development was immense. I was able to learn the advantageous skill of analyzing and understanding other's code, while broadening my own abilities. I'm eager to begin my career as a software developer, and continue to contribute to the Nashville technology community.

Mock Pinterest is a React application I created that replicates the popular Pinterest application. The application uses Firebase Google Authentication and allows users to create boards and pins, and attach the pins to desired boards.

The Ranch

The Ranch is an Javascript application built with Google Firebase Authentication where users have the ability to add or remove cows from ranches.

Brewster

React application for home brewers that allows the user to keep track of beer recipes, batches and times of fermentation. Users can create time specific comments for their brewing day to document the boiling process. I created this project using React, Moment.js and CSS for styling, and provides fully implemented CRUD
